Instructions On How To Play This Game

  1. The object of this game is to take words alphabetically arranged, and rearrange them into a famous quotation. You must use all of the words and punctuation, and the sentence must make sense. Note, however, that some of the sentences can vary as to exact wording, but with the same meaning. Any one of these variations can be considered correct as long as all of the words are used correctly. None of the words are capitalized so that no clues are provided, and there are spaces on both sides of all punctuation marks so that they can be manipulated separately from the words.
  2. Select which quotation you want to try by clicking on 1 of the links above. The words will appear in alphabetical order below the yellow bar above.
  3. To place the words into a sentence, first click on a word to select it.
  4. Then click on the selection again, but this time, keep the mouse button down, and drag it to the yellow bar at the top of this page. Then release the mouse button to drop the word where you want it. (Note: if the word didn't drag, then you forgot to select it 1st. Select it first by clicking on it and releasing the mouse button. Then click on it again, but keeping the mouse button down, drag it to the yellow bar, to the position that you want, then release the mouse button.)
  5. If you made a mistake and dropped the word in the wrong place, including splitting a word already in the yellow bar, then click on the word in the yellow bar to move it back to the end of the unordered list in the green bar. You can also start over by clicking the link for the sentence again.
  6. If you don't like the sentence you chose, just click on another. The new sentence will replace the old. Click on Correct Sentence after each link to see the corresponding correct sentence.
